Everyone's mad at Valve, what else do you want them to do honestly? It costs body bags of money to code for the PS3. They are not the first who don't want to put up with that strain. I mean it sucks, but perhaps a really good third party can do a more than satisfactory job. Valve are so far from Noobs its not even funny, but people are acting like this generation is in the hundred thousands to work on one title. Valve wants to obviously grow it's content porfolio. So they may have their hands...
Then hell never no can COD4 touch a Battlefield experience. Yet two things bode well for COD franchise; COD4 rocks in both single player and multiplayer, adding a full featured version in their up coming game, will give them the crown. Seeing as how Dice is just getting into creating single player campaign which I think is a bit harder to get right than multiplayer. So Infinity Ward can build on that. As you see with Frontlines big squad based multiplayer action will peak on the consoles this...
Cause we aren't talking about the PC version in this thread right?...Multiplayer is the best part of the game honestly, also you can speak to more than four people in your squad. It's actually a smart way they found to manage communication in the game. With applying to a squad or creating your own squad. The game really rocks when you and your team act like a real squad. You can dominate a map, plus all the other options for vehicles and the like are so fun and entertaining. I was rooting for...
Forget marketing for one second, because I think that is a really bad excuse for a company doing it's job. Sony just announced that MGS4 will be packed in with a PS3 in June. Does that make Sony over the top? desparate? Overreaching? Get Fuc!ing real...They are making sure that good or bad MGS4 gets the attention it deserves. Wanna know something even more funny? You guys touting how good the game is supposed to be, are part of the marketing plan...Haters are the worst...
Wrong and right...The game is not a graphical powerhouse, but it damn sure is not sore on the eyes. If you have an HDTV or a really good CRT one the game looks stunning. On a side note like most here who actually played the game would respond, what does graphics have to do with game-play?
One of the best parts about live right now is there are so many people who haven't played these types of games. I have friends who are strictly into sports, about five of them downloaded the ...
Should just leave Halo series alone. If you didn't purchase the game, don't like the game...guess what...you don't count. Honestly you really don't, because hype can't sell that many games. I mean had this been any Sony game we'd hear all kinds of jealous remarks. Especially when alot of people feel that FF series has been overblown as well. Does that discount the millions of people who enjoy, bought, and revere the FF series? Hell no...Why? Because those who don't get it...Don't count. Reall...
This being the first game, allowing it to become a series opens the door to more. Count me in asap. Anyone complaining about the amount of disc can take a squat on the PS2 HDD. For all that was good for $100 bucks wasted...pfft...
This is actually a really damn good thing. Also communication works great. You can join a squad or create a squad. Those in your squad are the only ones you can communicate with. There is a seemless ease of use, because from my experience people who work well together cordinating a campaign are in constant communication. Add to the variety of objectives team work wins in many of the contests I've played. This is a great way to go, I think the more people play this game the more they are going...
This isn't so much for casual gamers as it is an alternative to the entertainment you are getting overall with a 360. From games to media, Xbox Live is being positioned as hub. I think they are going to have to do and creat other aspects of Live to really make it a stronger reality. As of right now it's great, but they should find more ways to broaden. Blu-ray doesn't do what Live does even if you own it, you can make the case for a DVD of the same film. What are actually getting from the exp...
Owe it to yourself to honestly play the multiplayer mode. It rocks, I've been playing for several days now. It's incredibly fun with huge number or people or in small teams. The maps offer very good variety in terms of layout, and I can say enough how multiplayer is actually the game...9/10 for sure...
1. The current sixaxis has no rumble...So how does it win in terms of control? You don't even have an idea of what it feels like to attack enemies and get feedback.
2. Where are the comparison screen shots to see the difference in graphics? There have been countless websites which have done this, and favored the 360. Especially looking at DMC4.
3. Criterion when making Burnout did not use the 360 as the lead so off course you are not...
That's been my point from day one also. It seems that the culprit in all this is a perception about the 360 that's just wrong. It is a powerful console. Here's my point of reference when it comes to the PS3.
The original Xbox was clearly a better machine than the PS2 and the games showed. You saw a distinct difference in what was possible, also the case with GC when comparing RE4 on the two platforms (PS2).
When we look at last generation being powerful isn't a standar...
I've said. If you are a comic reader then just think of Gears of War as the 1st issue in a huge mini-series. The minute you do that as a gamer you will go back in and find more treasures than you could see on the surface. I for one know full well that the game we were playing was to get us acclimated to a new style of play. Trust me there is alot more in store. Even when you look at the tech demo, they are giving away so much of what will be in the next games. The smart thing is that they did...
I thought the Gears story in part one was actually pretty easy to understand. Because of that (to me) I was able to spot the holes in the story and rebuild it backwards. Meaning I went from the ending to the beginining. I think if you do that the game plays out in a linear fashion, and is actually not that hard. Like for instance think of the old television show with the dinosaur men, and you had the lost family. How they journeyed to the middle of the earth got lost and went into a portal of...
This game will sit very nicely in my library of exclusive 360 goodness, and the best part?...It's not a shooter. Plus the NG pedigree is second to none.
Am I the only one who notices how a great title comes along for the 360 and then suddenly we hear. "It won't be better than GOW 3 on PS3". WTF??? What's even more funny is how they use a game like Uncharted to go against Gears of War. A game that comes out a year latter. How about comparing NG2 to DMC4 that's out now...
If 5 million in sales, GOTY awards, incredible gameplay and graphics didn't stand on it's own with Gears of War then honestly you are not going to be impressed. Further more, the hype was more than justifyed. It's not the same as showing a CGI demo at E3 and trying to pass it off as in game play. I'm not calling out any names, because that one is fairly obvious in terms of who did it. That was for hype.
Not one person here is going to say that what Gears of War did, had happen...
After what they did with Crackdown (which I knew was a test dummy for this game). Then reading about this game, I honestly can't wait for this game. You have to be a happy 360 owner, the news and annoucements really make for some quality purchases...Put the APB out on that.
At the end of the day we have to look at what this adds up to. I don't think hindering a developer works to anyone's advantage. They are the ones who have to define what your system can and can't do in a real world sense. For most of my day I've been playing Frontlines on Xbox Live, and honestly the ease of using it swept over me in a huge smile. I had meet some guys playing the game and added them to my friends list seamlessly. Now I've played COD4 strictly on a PS3, and the game looked grea...
It goes down by another $10 bucks I'm getting it, plus a bunch of discounted HD-DVD movies. I mean you can't beat that, and it's a collectors item. Yeah definitely getting it. Just for the sake of having it. I've spent $75-$250 dollars in drinks at times, so this is throw away dough...
